Remember to talk to me about all of the wonderful learning I have taken part in this week. Check out our pictures from this week to spark a conversation!
This week we have been reading a book called ‘Compost Stew’. We have learnt some great words such as decay, decompose, waste, recycle and fertilizer. We have been thinking about what ingredients we would need to make a compost stew and even making our own compost in bottles!
In maths, we have been doubling objects, numicon and numbers on a dice. We have also been looking out for the patterns when we double numbers. We made our own compost stew however, we had to double up on the recipe to ensure there was enough for both Moon and Sun Class!
Help us embed our learning by using our key vocabulary words in bold. Practise doubling numbers to 10 using objects, quantities and numbers.
We had a fabulous day celebrating Eid on Friday. We ate delicious food, danced to music, popped bubbles and got tattoos!
As well as all that excitement, we also celebrated our 100th full day of learning in Reception. Not including lockdown, bank holidays or school holidays, we have been learning in Reception for 100 days since we started full time in September.
Have a great weekend!
