Mora Primary & Nursery School

Making a difference

15th July 2022

This week is transition week and we are getting ready to go to Year One! We are reflecting on our time in Reception and writing sentences about what we have enjoyed this year as well as thinking about what we are looking forward to next year. We have also been thinking about what we would like to be when we grow up! We have written a letter to Nursery to tell them about all the exciting things they will get to do in Reception!

In maths, we are consolidating our number bonds to 10 by splitting 10 into 2 parts in lots of different ways. We are using the language ‘part part whole’ and using resources such as a jigsaw, a coat hanger and pegs, teddies and our fingers. We recorded the number sentence and learnt that we can add the number either way.
