This week was Science week! The theme this year is growing. Our week was packed with loads of fun experiments. What better story to read but ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’? We grew our own beanstalks and we will be keeping an eye on our them daily. Ask us for updates! Did you know that Jack could have escaped the giant much faster with a zip line from the top of beanstalk to the ground? We put it to the test and created our own zip line and timed how long it took Jack to travel down the zip line. We also made our very own super long beanstalk by using 1 piece of paper.
We were given a challenge – to stop an egg from breaking. We wrapped our eggs in paper, bubble wrap and other materials and then put our designs to the test. It was a cracking experience!
As a class, we started our school project. We had to plan, design and build a prototype of an aspect of our ‘tomorrow world’. We look forward to seeing you at the project reveal day!

This week, it has been all about Science. This weekend, why not complete an experiment with your family and write about it. Check out ‘Ryan’s World’ on YouTube for some inspiration. Or follow this link https://littlebinsforlittlehands.com/ for some science fun!
Your teachers would love to see any writing you do at home.
