We had a special delivery on Monday…eggs! We pondered over what could be inside, perhaps a turtle, snake or even a crocodile?! On Tuesday, out hatched a duckling! We now have 2 new fluffy additions to Early Years, with hopefully more to come!
This week we have been reading the story Croc and Bird. After hatching from their eggs, Croc and Bird think they are brothers and have a wonderful adventure together before being reunited with their own kind. We have been super busy building nests, exploring eggs and learning interesting facts about birds and crocodiles.
In maths we have been exploring odd and even numbers. We learnt a rhyme to help us remember them:
“0,2,4,6,8 even numbers they are great!”
“1,3,5,7,9 odd numbers they are fine!”
Perhaps you could look out for some odd and even numbers over the weekend. Can you spot an odd/even number on your front door? The front of a bus? At the shops?
