Mora Primary & Nursery School

Making a difference

7th May

Remember to talk to me about all of the wonderful learning I have taken part in this week. Check out our pictures from this week to spark a conversation!

This week we have been learning about the parts of a plant as well as planting our own seeds. We have been using vocabulary such as flower, stem, seeds, leaves, roots, soil, nutrients, sunlight, soil and grow. We have also been talking about what a plant needs to grow and how we can care for plants and flowers in our environment.

In maths, we have been learning about odd and even numbers. We learnt a rhyme to help us remember them;

“2, 4, 6, 8, even numbers they are great! 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 odd numbers they are fine!”

Perhaps this weekend you could look out for odd and even numbers in books, on doors, on signs or on the front of buses.

We had a lovely time at Gladstone park on Thursday we went on a scavenger hunt to see what interesting things we could find in the wooded area. We made nature bracelets, danced around the maypole and had great fun playing parachute games. We have many budding architects here at Mora, our fairy houses were pretty spectacular. I’m sure the fairies will be super happy with their new homes.
