Making a difference

Sports Premium

Every state funded school in the country receives additional funding for sport and physical education. This funding must be used to fund improvements to the provision of PE and Sport, for the benefits of pupils ages 5-11 years old, so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles.

For 2017/2018 we have been allocated £19,750

We intend to spend this money in the following ways:

  • Employing specialist/Qualified coach to work alongside teachers in lesson to further enhance their skills and planning of P.E
  • Enhance the provision of PE in the Early Years (Nursery and Reception).
  • Employ a qualified dance instructor to help children develop co-ordination, rhythm and confidence.
  • Buying in to a borough wide Sports service that will enable our children to take part in competitive sporting activities
  • Provide swimming lessons, linked to the National Curriculum

We will evaluate the impact of the Sports Premium Funding as part of our cycle of self evaluation and provision mapping arrangements. We will look at how well we use our funding to improve the quality and breadth of P.E and sporting provision, including increasing participation in P.E and sport so that all children develop healthy lifestyles and reach performance levels that they are capable of.
