Happy New Year to all!
This week we have been reading 'The Gingerbread Man'. We were able to retell the story and join in with repeated words and refrains; 'Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!"
We took part in some delicious learning and followed a recipe to make Gingerbread. Whilst our Gingerbread was cooking and cooling, we were busy making boats for our Gingerbread people. We then set sail across our water tray and our Gingerbread people bobbed along in their new boat. Some Gingerbread people managed to stay dry whilst others got a bit soggy! Luckily we baked plenty of Gingerbread so we were all able to taste our delicious cookies!
Reminders:
- Soft start will begin on Tuesday 16th Jan 9-9.10
- P.E is each Friday. Please ensure your child is wearing leggings or jogging bottoms with trainers
- Please ensure your child has a bag of spare clothes on their peg
- Please label any hats, gloves, scarves and spare uniform with your child's name
- Children must now call all adults by their surname. In Star Class we have Miss Hillis, Miss Edmonds (Chloe), Ms Majeed (Shaz) and Ms Harvey (Sarah)
