Mora Primary & Nursery School

Making a difference

Key Information

We know there is a lot to remember when getting your child ready for school, so have put together some helpful reminders below.

If you have any further questions, please do come and ask any of the adults in EYFS - We are always happy to help!

    Book bag

    • Please make sure your child brings a Mora book bag or rucksack to school every day. This needs to be a separate bag to their lunch box and spare clothes bag.
    • We encourage the children to choose new story books everyday but are happy for them to keep them longer if they are really enjoying it.
    • Guided reading books must be returned on Monday.
    • Please keep your child's guided reading book and reading diary in their book bag so adults can continue to read with them in school as well as at home.

    PE

    • The children in Reception will have PE every week. Please make sure that the children have a Mora school PE shirt, shorts or leggings and suitable shoes.
    • Please send your child's PE kit in a bag, labelled with their name.

    School uniform and Spare clothes

    • All children in Early Years must wear school uniform.
    • As we work towards independence and to help children make the most of their time at school we ask that you opt for clothes that they can put on and take off them selves. tracksuit bottoms and velcro school shoes are ideal.
    • We love learning outside in all weather and know that there can be accidents and messy play in EYFS. For that reason spare clothes are also an essential part of the kit that your child needs at school.
    • Spare clothes do not need to be uniform but does need to be labelled as well as in a names bag.
    • We love learning outside in all weathers and know that there can be accidents and messy play in EYFS. For that reason spare clothes are also an essential part of the kit that your child needs at school. We suggest you leave this at school with us for the duration of the year so your child can get the most out of all leaning opportunities.
