Mora Primary & Nursery School

Making a difference

First week back!

Dear Families,

What a wonderful start back for our children at Mora! We welcomed them on Monday with some music and dancing in the street and they returned to their face to face learning by transforming into super scientists. There has been a lovely buzz around the school, with the children experimenting in their classrooms and taking part in lots of active, hands-on learning with our fabulous Science Week.

Thank you to all the children that have sent in work for International Women’s Day and we have now received all the entries for our Lockdown Photography Competition- there were some amazing shots that show just how talented the children of Mora are!

With all children back we continue to keep children in class bubbles, minimising contacts to continue to keep everyone safe. Of course, if a child or staff member has a positive Covid test we will need to close class bubbles. At school we are doing everything we can to keep cross infection to a minimum and we ask you to do the same. Please follow the current government guidance when meeting people from other households and keep a  2-metre distance when dropping off and collecting your child.  Please remember to wear a mask at the gate.

At the end of each day the children are dismissed to parents in a safe and orderly way, so please do not call your child from the road or from the back of the year group line; we will not allow the child to go until you are at the front of your child’s class line. I am sure you will all support this system, for the health and safety of all children.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Yours sincerely,

Kate Bass
