Reception trip to the Welsh Harp

In November, Reception enjoyed a trip to the Welsh Harp. We had so much fun travelling by bus and singing the wheels on the bus on our journey!

Once we arrived, we had a very interesting chat from our guide who told us all about the creatures we could see during the day. We then went pond dipping and had a great time looking for newts, pond snails and even fresh water shrimps!

Next, we went for a walk in the woods. We listened out for animals in the trees, observed different fungi on the ground and talked about the shape and colours of leaves. We arrived at a clearing and embarked on a minibeast hunt! We used a spoon to dig for minibeasts and placed them in a magnifying jar to inspect them more closely.

We had a fantastic time and hope you enjoy looking at the pictures we took.
