    Brent Educational Psychology Service

    Parent Drop-In Telephone Line

Would you like to talk to an Educational Psychologist about difficulties that you or your child are experiencing during the Covid-19 pandemic?

The Educational Psychology Service parent drop-in line is available to any parent or carer who has a child in a Brent school and who would like to have some time to discuss any concerns with an Educational Psychologist.  For example:

    • Do you need some support with creating a daily routine for your child while schools are closed?
    • Do you have any concerns about your child’s well-being?
    • Are you struggling to motivate your children at home or manage sibling relationships

Your child does not need to be known to the Educational Psychology Service, does not need to have special educational needs or be eligible for additional support within school for you to request an appointment. The sessions aim to be supportive, confidential and informal. Each session is up to 45 minutes, and will take place on the following dates from 9.30-12.30:

    • Wednesday 6th May 2020
    • Wednesday 20th May 2020
    • Tuesday 9th June 2020
    • Wednesday 24th June 2020
    • Tuesday 7th July 2020
    • Wednesday 22nd July 2020

To book a session contact the Brent EPS on 0208 937 3200 or email :  eps@brent.gov.uk. Appointments need to be made by 1pm on the day before the session.

  • Phased reopening of Mora Primary and Nursery School

    Mon 01 Jun 2020

    Monday 1st June 2020

    Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the beautiful weather.

On Wednesday 3rd June we are looking forward to welcoming our Nursery children back to Mora Primary and Nursery school.

Following the induction of Nursery, we plan to reintroduce a number of year groups at staggered intervals.

    Reception - Wednesday June 10th

    Year 1 and 6 - Wednesday June 17th

I am waiting for further Government guidance regarding the remaining year groups - Years 2, 3, 4, 5.

Please be aware, if there are any changes in Government guidelines then plans will be adapted and altered. I will keep you updated via parent mail.

Remember, you can choose to keep your child at home and you will not be penalised for non-attendance. If you do plan for your child to return to school, make sure you notify the school so we can plan accordingly. A letter, requesting this information, will be sent out shortly. If you change your mind and decide to send your child to school at a later date, then you need to inform us 7 days in advance of their start date.

Due to the current circumstances, school will not be exactly the same but we are working to ensure the children will have fun and learn in a safe environment. I will send a letter to each year group, one week before the above start dates, so you know what changes that have taken place in school and the new rules that we all must adhere to.

If you have any questions please email admin@mora.brent.sch.uk or call the school office

    0208 452 2643.

We can’t wait to see you again!

    Best wishes

    Polly Baylis – Headteacher
