Thank you to John Lyon's Charity for their grant of £5000. This will enable an affordable trip to The Lyceum Theatre this term, to see The Lion King, for all children in Years 2-6. It will also allow for a school performance from The Little Angel Puppet Theatre of Handa's Suprise for our younger children.

After two years of limited trips and culture, we are excited to be able to offer this to the amazing children of Mora Primary and Nursery School.

  • World Book Day 2022 - Fairy Tales

Fri 11 Mar 2022 Ms Mas

What about delving into the magical world of fairy tales? This is exactly how the children at Mora celebrated World Book Day. After listening to their teacher read their favourite childhood fairytale, the children re-created a three dimensional scene of the story. From Nursery to Year 6, they all had lots of fun using a range of art media. You may be familiar with classic fairy tales, but you’ve never seen them like this before! Have a look at our wonderful dioramas and guess what fairy tale the scene represents.

The children also visited the Free Book Shop, where they could choose a book from a huge selection and take it home forever! It was a highlight of the day!

  • Brent Swimming Gala

Fri 21 Jan 2022 Miss Hillis

Year 6 entered the 2021 Brent Swimming Gala on the 19th January at Willesden Sports Centre. We had a strong team of 10 swimmers who competed against 6 other schools. Although the other schools were tough competition, we gave it our best shot. We swam in a variety of races including breast stroke, back stroke, free style and a medley of relays. This gave Year 6 a chance to showcase a range of swimming techniques which they had recently been practising during their school swim lessons. The team cheered each other on and words of encouragement kept them going even when the competition was tough. There was a real sense of team spirit and we left the Gala on a high.
